Bethlehem Skateplaza Grand Opening

Bethlehem, Pa. The Office of Parks and Public Property for the City of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is pleased to invite the public (adults and children of all ages) to a carnival and concert event to benefit the Bethlehem Skateplaza. General admittance and parking is free.
Date:
Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Location:
Ice House Sand Island, 56 River Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018
Indoor and outdoor activities:
DJ, characters, food and drink, baked goods, carnival games, activities and prizes
Concert times (doors open 15 minutes prior to each show):
5:45 p.m. – Billy Bauer Band
6:45 p.m. – Stevie and Chris Ruggiero, Variety Entertainers
7:45 p.m. – Roche Harbor Light
8:45 p.m. – Revelation
Concert ticket prices:
$2.00 per show (pay at the door, seating is limited)

The Skateplaza is anticipated to be a world-class venue, unrivaled in its progressive design and immense size. The plan addresses the needs of the community and the desires of action sports’ enthusiasts to exercise in a safe, secure environment. Benefits include strengthening community partnerships, providing positive youth development and contributing to the health and physical wellbeing of residents in a multi-use, park like setting. “With the help of the Bethlehem Greenway project and Mayor John Callahan, The Bethlehem Skateplaza will be the new design standard for Skateboarding and BMX venues,” says Ralph Carp, Director of Parks and Public Property for the City.
